SOUTH OF THE SNAKE RIVER BRIDGE
Spanning from South Highway 89’s first intersection with the Snake River all the way south to the county line lies the southernmost portion of the Jackson Hole valley. This eclectic area of the valley tends to have a rural character with some large acreage tracts of land and many horse properties. With excellent proximity to the Snake River, the Hoback River, and National Forest, this area is attractive to recreationalists. Hoback Junction is a small community at the junction of the Hoback and Snake Rivers with some commercial uses, however, the entire area is mostly zoned for single-family uses with no townhomes or condos. An anomaly in the area is the Snake River Sporting Club, a residential luxury golf community along the banks of the Snake River. This development is currently unveiling their newest homes which allow short-term rentals. An area historically referred to as Hog Island is now the home to a brand-new English/Spanish Dual Immersion school, Munger Mountain Elementary.
